Review

This is official description applies to version 8.0

Get to your favorite sites quickly – even if you don’t remember the URLs. Type your term into the location bar (aka the Awesome Bar) and the autocomplete function will include possible matches from your browsing history, bookmarked sites and open tabs.
The Awesome Bar learns as you use it—over time, it adapts to your preferences and offers better-fitting matches. We’ve tweaked it to give you greater control over the results (including privacy settings) and increased performance so you find what you need even faster.Tabs are above the Awesome Bar to make it easier to focus on the content of the sites you visit. All your menu items are now found in a single button for easy access.
Manage your bookmarks in a single button. Find your favorite links without getting bogged down!

The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 3.6

Firefox 3.6 is yet an another update of Mozilla's Firefox internet web browser. The present available minor version update of the mentioned version is 3.6.8, which can be downloaded following the given links.

Firefox browser is an open-source application that is used by most of the users worldwide. But if you are new to this browser, then you need to know its pros and cons, before you download and install it. Firefox consumes somewhat more memory when in use, and sometimes it also slows down the PC by using all CPU resources, if not optimized correctly. If you optimize the browser's cache and other settings for Firefox, it is one of the best browsers available. Firefox is suppoerted by Windows, Mac, as well as Linux operating systems. The installation and operation is very easy and the latest update has some fixes in comparison to the previous versions. It includes some new features too, such as: the browser's appearance can be changed with a single click, alerts about out-of-date plugins, full screen display of Videos, WOFF Font Support, improvement of JavaScript performance, support for latest CSS, DOM and Html technology, etc.
  • Easy to use.
  • Open source.
  • Has many Add-ons.
  • Performance is much better comparing to other browsers.
  • Firefox consumes somewhat more memory of CPU when in use, which can be optimized, refer to Firefox help manual.
